Back to work again!

Once upon a time I was a stay at home mommy. I was lucky enough to be home with my kiddos while they were babies. Yes, it was hard at times but in the end was so worth every breakdown I had. The wine also helped! Lol 🙂

Now fast forward a bit. The kids are getting older, and the neighborhood we were living in was going downhill. It was just becoming a place we didn’t want to raise the kids in. So I put my big girl pants on, and got a job. I was a server at a wine bar, and it was the best job ever. I eventually was promoted to supervisor.

My last night at the wine bar!

I’m going to go back to my favorite quote “everything happens for a reason.” Only this time I’m not sure why this happened… The bar ended up closing it’s doors right before Christmas. I will say, It was nice to have the holidays off… but the budget was hurting. I was once again needing to find a job. Like I said, I believe everything happens for a reason. I ended up getting a job at Aldi. Training starts tomorrow, and I have the worst anxiety about it. Maybe its the fact that we are finally forced to get a sitter for the kids. (Last job hubby and I had opposite schedules). Or maybe the fact that it’s a totally different experience for me. I have horrible anxiety… but that’s a blog post in itself! I start my training tomorrow, and I am an absolute mess today. I know the best thing to do right now is just let go, and put everything in God’s hands. So that’s exactly what I’m going to do.

With that being said, look forward to what I pack for lunch, as well as what I pack my kids, and husband. Also let me know if you would rather see those in video, or just post them here. Hope everybody is having a great Sunday. 🙂

What’s Going On!

So here I am again… not posting like I wanted to. I’m going to try really hard this time to do better. It may just be me typing out my feelings one day, or if I get enough pictures, maybe a “what I pack my kids for lunch”. I’m also getting into planners so that may be something I post about. In other words this is going to be a blog about anything, and everything. 🙂 hope you enjoy and I would love to know what you would like to see.

So life has been crazy lately… and that’s a big reason why I haven’t posted. I know when I did my first post my pup of 13 years had just passed away from cancer. A few months after that happened we ended up rescuing a beagle pup. He has turned out to be more of a lump of fur than an actual dog. He is one of the laziest dogs I know. He seriously lays on the couch all day, and I’m okay with that!!

So my husband is big on hunting. He had recently taken up duck hunting, and wanted to get a dog to retrieve ducks. So we drove around one day looking at shelters. We had almost given up on the day when we pulled in to one last shelter. And there she was… way off in the corner. A gourgous black lab pup. We spent about an hour outside playing with her, and we all instantly fell in love with her. I knew we needed to take her home with us.

Man she has been an absolute handful. She loves getting into everything, and really loves chewing on hands. Ouch!! But she is So smart. She has picked up on sit, heel, and stay, but of course being a puppy it wasn’t for very long. Unfortunately she was sick and we had no idea.

She never gave any signs of being sick. And we don’t know for sure if that’s what it was, but she passed away a week ago. We are still heartbroken, and trying to figure out what really happened. Unfortunately we will never know. She was only 8 months old, but lived a great 3 months with us.

Remy girl! She will be greatly missed

I am a big believer in the quote “everything happens for a reason.” Somehow God new that we needed to bring her home with us. That we could give her an amazing 3 months! It’s now so quiet again in the house, but I know she is in a better place. And it’s slowly getting easier to deal with. Just know if you are struggle, it will get easier. I have learned to not sit and wonder. You will just make yourself sick. It’s okay to move on. 🙂
